How to make a pot of tea

Cuppa for one

Boil fresh water. When it’s boiled, rinse your tea pot with the hot water. You don’t want to add hot water to a cold pot. Add your tea bag or loose leaves of your choice. 1 teaspoon per cup. Adding your loose leaves to a tea ball makes sense if you don’t like runaway tea leaves. Pour the hot water into the pot or cup. Cover and wait while the tea steeps - 3 to 4 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea.

There is much controversy as to milk first or tea first, but I think it’s a personal preference. I take my tea without milk or sugar so I don’t sweat it. You do you.

And don’t forget your added sweet for the day. What is tea without a little something, something.
